Born and raised in Oakland California Introduced to guitar, piano, drums and bass at age seven played clarinet and timpani’s in school orchestras
At the age of 17 toured the world as a musician on a oldie but goodie show tour that include the following artist: The Coasters, The Drifters, The platters, Bobby Wrydell, Dale Shannon and others
Taught songwriting and producing at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley California as well as produced and wrote songs for Fantasy Records disco artists.
Producer for and worked directly with MOTOWN RECORDS founder and owner Berry Gordy Jr. as producer, writer, and musician. Produced music sound tracks and songs for artist and motion picture projects including The Pointer Sisters for whom he wrote and played all instruments on the title song: Serious Slammin. George Clinton, The Bar-Kays, Rocky Robins, and worked for most of the major labels.
Worked and or recorded with Marvin Gaye Jr., The Bar-Kay’s, Bill Withers, GC Cameron (lead singer of the Temptations and Spinners) Jimmy McCracklin, Etta James, Lowell Folson, Big Mama Thornton, John Lee Hooker, Jeannie Tracy, The Two Tons Of Fun, Martha Reeves, Freddy Hubbert, The Four Tops, Tower Of Power, Sylvester, Lou Rawls Jr., Rockwell, Rance Allen gospel group, Michael Jeffries, Harvey Fuqua of the Moon Glows, Charles Earland, Nikita Germaine, Lenny Williams and so many more.
1992 – 1994 Band leader and road manager for Bobby Womack, touring the world and working with countless other entertainers.
